UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championship

The UCIMountain Bike and Trials World Championship were held from the 1-6 of September at Canberra's barren Stromlo Forest Park. The VAS team accompanied by the boys from Black Phoenix made the trip to watch the worlds most talented mountain bikers perform grueling races and trials. Over 40 000 individuals flocked to the event village to witness the amazing worldwide talent. The place was buzzing with skaters on half pipes, tattooed individuals on electric bikes, foreigners waving their respective flags and cowbells and Kid Kenobi and the Resin Dogs on the decks. Highlights included watching Sam Hill pinning it down the track from the VIP area of the Triple Treat, watching some heavy carnage including a riders 2 front teeth getting knocked clean out of her mouth and seeing the French blowing up at the time keepers time and time again. All in all the championships were truly incredible!

Fish Eye Film Festival

The FishEye is a film competition whose aim is to unearth some amazing talent that exists within the field of film making and within the above mentioned industries. It is a short film festival designed to entertain, encourage and inspire festival goers and film makers alike.

There is a good size prize pool and some serious creditbility up for grabs. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to enter and all are welcome to the final screening at a venue yet to be confirmed.
